Death
One thing that kept coming up in the book was death. I don't know about you but I have only been to one funeral and it was no fun. The last thing I wanteed to that summer was stand helplessly while whatch my grandpa and his brother cry. The worst part was that my cousin Sam laughed. Even though I know he is not the nicest person in the world I did not expect him to laugh! My great grandma's funeral was one of the worst experiences in my life. Having such a terrible time at one funeral I would hate to go to 52 of them.

About the Author
Sherman Alexie and Junior have a lot in common. I was shocked when I was reading his biography. Alexie much like the character junior was a Spokane who lived on a reservation in Wellpinit. He also freaked out when he saw his mom's name in his math book but, unlike Junior he did not throw the book at his math teacher. When he discovered that he was not getting as good education at his current high school he decided to go to a school in Reardan. At his new school he was the only Indian. In the end Sherman Alexie went to college at Washington state University and graduated to become a writer.

Have you ever stood out?
Have you ever gone somewhere and felt like you stood out. Well I can't think of anything at the moment so pretend I gave you an example. Every day Junior goes to school he gets that feeling. Mostly because he is the only Indian kid out of 200 people and he was also the only poor one.Junior also stood out at home because he was the only Native American kid to ever go to school with rich white kids.

Small Changes
Small changes can make a big difference. Like when you are building a bridge, If you decide to take away a piece the whole bridge could fall apart and it would cost you. In life is you lie to someone who trust you (take the piece away) they my never trust you. In Junior's case he left the reservation to go to a school inside Reardan. His community thought of him as a traitor.
What were you thinking?
What were you thinking when Junior threw his book at Mr. P?
I thought that Junior was going to get suspended or worse... the book was going to be about him complaining about how Mr.P . hates him. One of the things that really annoys me in books is if the character is always pitying him/herself or constantly complaining about random things over and over again. Or ranting on about one thing for like half of the book. Now that I can not stand. When i found out that this was not going to happen I was so relieved.
